Dr. Brims Health (operated by Dr. Birendra Ray Institute Of Medical Sciences, Chapra, Bihar — the “Platform”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or mobile app you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account & profile: name, mobile number, email, age, gender, marital status, address (state/district/village).
  • Health information: pre-existing conditions, height/weight, symptoms, prescriptions, lab reports, and other medical records you or your doctor add.
  • Identity: ID type and number (e.g. Aadhaar) where required — stored in encrypted form.
  • Family members: details of family members you add under your Family Card.
  • Transactions: bookings, payments, wallet activity, membership status.
  • Media: profile photos and report images you upload.
  • Technical: device, app/usage logs, and session cookies for login.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and secure your account (OTP login) and Family Card.
  • To process OPD, lab, surgery, IPD, teleconsultation, IVF/maternity, eye-care and ambulance bookings.
  • To share necessary details with the hospital, lab, or doctor you book so they can serve you.
  • To enable doctors to create prescriptions/EMRs and you to view your reports.
  • To process payments and refunds, and to send booking confirmations and reminders.
  • To provide customer support and improve our services.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your data. We share it only:

  • With the hospital / lab / doctor relevant to your booking.
  • With service providers who help us operate: PhonePe (payments), Cloudinary (image storage), Fast2SMS/MSG91 (OTP & SMS), Brevo & Zoho (email), Agora (video calls), Google (AI assistant). They process data only on our behalf.
  • When required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), JWT session security, and field-level encryption for sensitive identifiers such as Aadhaar/ID numbers. No method is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and medical records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and meet legal/medical record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion (see your rights below).

6. Your Rights

  • Access and update your profile and family member details in the app.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.
  • Withdraw consent (note: some features may stop working without required data).

7. Children

Accounts are for adults (18+). Minors’ health records may be managed by a parent/guardian under their Family Card.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
